Design + Programming

Marlo and Ben have been grinding it out and added a bunch of major mechanics into the build. Marlo has worked hard with the blueprinting for the mechanics in the game. One of the main mechanics that Marlo added are the vending machines where players can get various Rootbeers to heal or buff them. Marlo also added the player character's ultimate ability to the game which looks amazing , Billy just needs to find some sounds for it now!

Ben added the game's tutorial , I don't know how it took us this long , and also mission objectives on the UI so the player now has an easy way to check their current objectives. Ben has also made an amazing cutscene for the start of the boss fight that really sets the scene for the impending battle.

Billy started adding more sounds to the build finally ! These included sounds for the robot minion in the cyberpunk level, and various gun shot sounds to test out in build and then a decision can be made on which one to keep in build.

Ollie has made some great block outs for the roof tops and alleyways along with the slums ,office and parkour section of the level. Ollie has also polished the scaling of the rooftops.

Art

Concept art wise Keeley has been storyboarding the cutscenes and animating them with parallax.

Georgia F has been concepting the UI for our game and implementing additions such as the HUD (heads up display), the main menu UI and the pause menu UI along with the death screen.

Georgia D has been working on the player model which has now been implemented in the build of the game although it still needs to be textured.

Erin has been working on the modular assets for the slums area in the level which will be used alongside the block out that Ollie made to create the slums in build.
